Join us for an exploration of wines from five uniquely distinct Mediterranean islands! We will be tasting wines from islands of Lemnos, Sicily, Sardinia, Corsica and Canary Islands and learn all about the significance of wines coming from these special areas located in Mediterranean sea - we will be discussing winemaking traditions, climate and soil characteristic that uniquely influence these wines as well as learning how these winemakers harness the beauty and struggles of living on these islands to create incredibly complex wines while mainly growing and focusing on indigenous grape varieties. All the wines sources for this event are coming from wineries that are applying very conscious practices when it comes to work in the vineyards as well as wine cellars. They are practicing regenerative, organic or biodynamic practices and protecting the land and increasing biodiversity of this special jewels of Mediterranean. All five wines will be accompanied with a generous charcuterie board and breads to share.
